Dehradun, 25 Jun: The Uttarakhand Ex-Services League (UESL) has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with several reputed hospitals in Dehradun, and is in the process of signing, to provide medical and surgical treatment to non-dependants of ECHS beneficiaries as well as non-dependants of serving Armed Forces personnel. Services will be extended at CGHS/ECHS approved rates on both OPD and IPD basis, effective from the respective dates of signing the MOUs. The hospitals partnering with UESL in this initiative are VelMed Hospital, Dehradun; Kanishk Hospital, Dehradun; Sunanda Medical Centre, Dehradun; Arihant Hospital, Dehradun; Drishti Eye Hospital, Dehradun.
This initiative represents a significant step in addressing the healthcare needs of the extended veteran and serving personnel community, particularly for those who are currently outside the ambit of formal ECHS coverage. Eligibility criteria specific to each hospital are being shared separately and must be referred to before availing services.
Copies of the signed MOUs have been circulated for wide dissemination among stakeholders to ensure that eligible individuals are fully informed.
Furthermore, efforts are ongoing to expand this healthcare initiative to other districts across Uttarakhand, aiming for state-wide coverage in the near future.
The Uttarakhand Ex-Services League urges all stakeholders and community members to assist in giving this initiative wide publicity, so the benefits can reach the maximum number of eligible veterans and their families. Further information, eligibility details and updates, can be obtained from UESL Headquarters.
