By OUR STAFF REPORTER DEHRADUN, 25 Sep: Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Uttaranchal University organized a one-day seminar on “The Booming Scope of Pharmacy in Healthcare Management System” on the occasion of World Pharmacists Day, on 25 September 2021. All faculty fraternity welcomed the Chief Guest of the ceremony. The program started with the traditional and auspicious lamp lightning ceremony as a tribute to Goddess Saraswati by the Chancellor Jitender Joshi, Officiating Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna, Dean-UIPS Prof. (Dr.) Vikash Jakhmola, HOD-UIPS Dr. Amit Semwal along with Chief Guest, Dr. Priyank Uniyal, Spine Sureon, Max Super speciality hospital, Dehradun, Deepak Kumar Senior GM Quality Operation, Penam Biosciences Pvt. Ltd. Yamunanagar Haryana, I.P.S. Chawla,Managing Director Deffohils Laboratory Pvt. Ltd. Selaqui Dehradun, C.l. Bhatt, Chief Pharmacist, State Mantal Health Institute SelaquiDehradun and Anil Bisht, Chief Pharmacist Doon deserving position. The programme started with the felicitation of the Chief Guest and lamp lightening ceremony and university kulgeet. The students of cultural committee presented Saraswati Vandana and a reginal folk Garhwali dance in the welcome ceremony. All the students took the Pharmacist Oath for being honest in the profession. Students of various colleges participated actively in poster presentation in given theme of World Pharmacist Day i.e. “Pharmacy always trusted for your health”. Eminent On this auspicious occasion, Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Uttaranchal University signed a MoU with the Penam Biosciences Pvt. Ltd, Yamunanagar, Haryana with the support of Deepak Kumar. judges keenly judged the posters and motivated them. Dr. Vikash Jakmola, Dean of UIPS, motivated the students for opting the novel profession which play a vital role to sustain the mankind. Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna welcomed all eminent guest of the day and facilitated their presence as being expertisein pharmacy profession.
Dr. Priyank Uniyal delivered his lecture on the role of pharmacist in healthcare management system but still pharmacist is in the queue of deserving position. IPS Chawla urged the students to be focused on their goal with honesty and determination. On this auspicious occasion, Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Uttaranchal University signed a MoU with the Penam Biosciences Pvt. Ltd, Yamunanagar, Haryana with the support of Deepak Kumar. Challenges and the responsibilities of pharmacists from the beginning to the present date were wonderfully explained by C.L.Bhatt and Anil Bisht. The function concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Amit Semwal. At the end prize distribution for the various events was done by the cultural committee.
Following students Ritika, Shivani Panwar, Sonee, Sheetal, Saksham Shah, Gunjan, Preetraj Soni, Amandeep Sarangill,.Ashutosh Jha, Saurav Nautiyal, Shivani Negi, Mansi Chauhan, Vikas Kumar, Smita Badoni and Suraj Chaunal, Ritesh Jha, Purvi Saha and Marhaba Rashid Mohammed were awarded certificates and cash prize.
