Dehradun, 6 Dec: The short film, ‘Kafal Pako Ashadha’, produced by Uttarakhand’s local production house, ‘Creating Tales’, will have its world premiere at the Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF) 2024. The film will be screened alongside 19 other films from across the country and will compete for the prestigious ‘Royal Bengal Tiger Award’.
Directed by Pulkit Tomar, Kafal Pako Ashadha is based on Uttarakhand’s famous folklore ‘Kafal Pako’ and beautifully blends the region’s contemporary essence with its cultural roots.
The festival will take place in Kolkata from 4 to 11 December, where the film will highlight Uttarakhand’s cultural heritage and modern social fabric.
