Dehradun, 30 Sep: The Uttaranchal School of Hotel & Hospitality Management (USHHM) at Uttaranchal University celebrated World Tourism Day 2026 with enthusiastic participation from students and faculty across campus.
Designed to highlight students’ creativity, hospitality expertise, cultural awareness, and professional competencies, the celebration featured a dynamic lineup of academic and cultural events. Key attractions included an inter-departmental quiz competition, vibrant cultural performances, and a signature chef competition.
The culinary showcase served as a major highlight, featuring an impressive display of student-prepared dishes evaluated by an esteemed panel of university judges. The event was honored by the presence of distinguished university leadership, including Executive Director of Student Affairs & IT Services Prof. (Dr.) Abhishek Joshi, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Dharam Buddhi, and Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna, whose encouragement greatly motivated the participants.
Organized under the leadership of USHHM Director Prof. (Dr.) Manish Badoni, the programme concluded with an expression of gratitude to the faculty, staff, and students for their collaborative efforts and active support.
