Uttaranchal Yuva Fest-2024 concludes with performances by Neha Kakkar & Rohanpreet Singh

Dehradun, 14 Apr: Yuva Fest-2024, organised by Uttaranchal University, concluded, here, on Saturday.

An alumni meet was organised in the morning while the evening was dedicated to celebrity performances. A stellar live performance was given by Neha Kakkar and Rohanpreet Singh.

Former students were welcomed at the university in the morning. Yuva Fest Convenor and Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof Rajesh Bahuguna said that more than 500 former students from different states of the country participated in the alumni meet, some of whom were from the first batch of 2002 session, who are today holding important positions in the country. They are serving in the country and abroad.

The alumni were welcomed with the beating of drums. A cultural program was also organised in the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium of the University. Students gave cultural presentations in honour of the alumni. The former students said that it was a pleasant experience to return to the college after 15 to 20 years. On this occasion, students shared the memories of their college days and informed the gathering about their current experiences. The alumni were excited to meet their teachers and turned the occasion into a memorable one by clicking selfies with everyone.

When the Chancellor, Jitendra Joshi, started talking about the establishment of the Law College Dehradun 22 years ago and the first batch, not only the alumni but he also became emotional. He stated that he had a family of thousands of alumni working in the country and abroad, due to which he considered himself the richest person in the world.

Vice Chancellor Prof Dharam Buddhi welcomed the alumni and informed them about the progress of the University.

The evening was made memorable by the performances of young heartthrob, Neha Kakkar. Her songs, Milay Ho Tum Humko, O Humsafar, Mahiven, Taron Ke Shehar and Dilbar were enjoyed by the audience. In between, Neha not only entertained the students of Uttaranchal University and others in her own style but also praised them. Rohanpreet Singh also gave his performance. His songs, Do Galaan, Wah-Wah Jatta, X Calling and Peene Lage Ho won a lot of applause.

Those present on the occasion were Pro-Chancellor Ankita Joshi, Executive Director Dr Abhishek Joshi, Registrar Anuj Rana, Prof Pradeep Suri, Prof Shravan Kumar, Prof Poonam Rawat, Prof Vikas Jakhmola, Prof Sonal Sharma, Prof Ajay Singh, Dr Manish Badoni, Rajesh Deorari, Iqbal Singh Sahney, Saurabh Rajvanshi and hundreds of students.
