Dehradun, 18 Jun: The All India Principals’ Association (AIPA), one of the largest organisations representing school principals across India, has appointed Supreme Court and Punjab & Haryana High Court Advocate and Chairman of the Council of Lawyers, Advocate Vasu Ranjan, as its Chief Legal Advisor. The appointment has been made by the National President of the Association, Dr Navdeep Bhardwaj. The Association is connected with more than 65,000 school principals across the country.
Advocate Vasu Ranjan will provide legal guidance on issues related to educational institutions, administrative matters, education policies, disputes concerning schools, and various legal challenges faced by private and government educational institutions. He will advise the Association on legal matters at the national level and, when required, represent its interests before courts and government authorities.
The All India Principals Association currently represents principals from more than 65000 educational institutions across various states. The organisation works for improving educational standards, protecting the rights of principals and teachers, addressing the concerns of private schools, and promoting positive reforms in the education sector.
Dr Navdeep Bhardwaj stated that the education sector is undergoing rapid changes, and schools today face numerous legal challenges relating to the National Education Policy, government regulations, recognition procedures, fee regulation, service conditions, and administrative issues. He emphasised that there was a strong need for an experienced legal advisor. He further noted that Advocate Vasu Ranjan possesses extensive legal experience and has represented several important matters before the Supreme Court and the Punjab & Haryana High Court, while also actively raising issues of public and social importance. His association with AIPA will provide principals and educational institutions across India with a strong legal platform.
Dr Bhardwaj also announced that the National Convention and Felicitation Ceremony of the All India Principals’ Association will be held on 20 June at DBS Global University, Dehradun, where thousands of principals, school administrators, educationists, academic experts, and social representatives from different states will participate. During this event, Advocate Vasu Ranjan will be formally installed as Chief Legal Advisor. Advocate Vasu Ranjan will also address the gathering of principals and educationists at the event. In his speech, he will share his views on legal rights in the education sector, challenges faced by schools, and possible solutions.
Expressing gratitude on his appointment, Ranjan thanked Dr Navdeep Bhardwaj, the National Executive Committee, and all members of the Association.
