Dehradun, 5 May: Under the aegis of Maj Gen Bhaskar Kalita, General Officer Commanding, Uttarakhand Sub Area, a Veterans’ Eve was organised at DSOI, here, on Saturday, which was attended by more than 400 veterans and their spouses. The GOC and his staff arranged the get-together, at which not only veterans and their spouses could interact with each other, but it also worked to keep the morale high. They enjoyed the hospitality of the GOC.
According to Lt Col BM Thapa (Retd), all the veterans appreciated the improvement being done in the station by the GOC and his staff, and expressed the hope such get-togethers would be organised twice a year to keep the morale high. They also praised the ‘commendable’ welfare work being done by Col PRS Rawat (Retd) and Col Sunny Bakshi (Retd), Secretary, DSOI, for the welfare of ESM and for bringing about various improvements. Every one enjoyed the memorable evening.
