Dehradun, 30 May: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and his wife, Dr Sudesh Dhankhar today visited Kainchi Dham in Nainital district.
At Kainchi Dham, he paid obeisance to Baba Neem Karori Maharaj and spent time with the residents of the ashram. After the darshan, he said that visiting this holy place had infused a new energy in his mind and increased his sense of devotion towards the nation.
After visiting the shrine of ‘Maharaj Ji’ at Kainchi Dham, Dhankhar said that he felt the confluence of religiosity, nobility and spirituality at this place. He emphasised that “this is the place where great men lived whose highest principles are exemplary for all”.
The Vice President said, “India’s 5000-year-old cultural heritage is unmatched in the world and Indian culture holds an important place in solving today’s global problems.”
Earlier, on his arrival at Haldwani, he was welcomed by the Governor of Uttarakhand, Lt General Gurmit Singh (Retd) and Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi Ji.
