Vikalp observes World Disability Day

DEHRADUN, 5 Dec: Vikalp a centre for training and rehabilitation of children with special needs, observed World Disability Day on 3 December.
Chief Guest Dr Durgesh Pant, Director, USERC, said that science and technology were working to bring the children into the mainstream by making them self-reliant. His team of Dr Nautiyal, Dr Anuradha, Anjali Agrawal, special guest Savitri Kala and others appreciated the work done by founder Bharati Pande and the able guidance of teachers Rashmi and Archana.
The special children, after a prayer and dance, showed their talent by performing a skit. Yashpal, Lakshman and Sulekha were winners in the Frog Race. Sumit, Arshdip, Lakshman won the obstacle race. Deepak and Farid were winners in the Ring Throw. They also learned about the sale of goods and exchange of money at a Haat set up on the occasion.
They also enjoyed games organised for parents and others. Manjari, Subhash Saxena, Kamla Pant, MC Pande, Anil Verma, Lakshmi, Sushma and Kusum were present to encourage the children. Aruna Chawla anchored the programme.
