DEHRADUN, 19 Nov: The Second International Conference, WITCON-2019, is being organised jointly by IEEE Chapter, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Women Technology Institute, and TEQIP-III, on 22 and 23 November. The details of this were revealed by Dr Alaknanda Ashok, Director of the Institute, here, today. She said that, in this international conference, researchers from different countries would be present to present their research papers. The subject matter experts are coming from USA, Singapore, Australia and UAE to check the quality of the papers and research. She also disclosed that eminent academics and experts from the country and abroad are attending the conference. During the press conference, it was stated that the event would be inaugurated on the first day by Prof Prem Vrat, former Director, IIT Roorkee, and Vice-Chancellor of Uttarakhand Technical University; Professor NS Chaudhary, Madan Mohan Malviya University, and Uttar Pradesh Technical University Vice- Chancellor, Professor SN Singh and Dr Alaknanda Ashok, Director of the Institute, and experts from other countries. A total of 45 research papers will be presented during 3 parallel sessions. It was stated that experts and eminent academics from CSIR, DRDO and industry will be involved in this conference. The quality of research papers presented in IEEE would be of international standard and enhance the knowledge of students of the institute and the state. It was clarified by the Director that the event had been organised for the first time in 2017 and, now, was being held 2 years later, in 2019. The quality of research papers over the last two years had gone up to the international level. Students studying in the institute and other technology institutes of the state would get an opportunity to ask and discuss questions related to their interest directly with the respective experts. This would be an opportunity for students to discuss at an international level forum, which will make them aware of the latest research happenings in their field.
