KASHIPUR, 22 Sept: State Rural Development Minister Ganesh Joshi felicitated the women of Self Help Groups in Kashipur with ‘Gram Gaurav Sammans’ for their excellent work in various fields. He handed over certificates and a jute bag each to them with the message to no longer use plastic.
Minister Joshi stated that it has been resolved that in the next 5 years, income of women in such groups will be doubled. Currently more than 3.5 lakh women are working with self-help groups. Joshi said that if a mother is strong then the whole house is strong. The Central and State Governments are constantly striving towards empowerment of women.
