Workshop on Women’s Health held at Graphic Era

Dehradun, 28 May: A workshop was organised in Graphic Era to spread awareness about women’s health and hygiene among the students.

The workshop was organised on International Menstrual Hygiene Day. The topic of the workshop was ‘Together for a Period Friendly World’. While addressing the workshop, Gynaecologist Dr Priyanka Chaudhari said that using organic pad and menstrual cup is a sustainable measure. She urged the students to spread awareness about the same.

Pathology expert Dr Vibha Gupta said that more than 80ml blood is lost during heavy menstrual bleeding. This can cause anaemia, weakness and discomfort in women. She advised students to consult a doctor in case they experience heavy bleeding.

The workshop was organised by the Department of Commerce and Graphic Era Institute of Medical Sciences. Dean, Life Sciences, Dr Priti Krishna, HOD Dr Rupa Khanna Malhotra, Dr Shipra Agarwal, Shruti Sharma, Riya Sharma, female faculty members and female students from various departments were present at the workshop.
