Yamkeshwar (Pauri), 8 Feb: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated various construction and beautification projects, including the Gram Panchur Barat Ghar, at Government Primary School Thangar in Yamkeshwar, Pauri district, here today. It may be recalled that UP CM Yogi Adithyanath was in Uttarakhand on a personal three-day tour to attend the marriage of his niece in his native village Panchur.

During the inauguration ceremony, both the CMs interacted with students, visited the school, and released the annual booklet of India Glycols Limited (IGL). They also visited Government Junior High School Kandi and Government Primary School Vithyani to inaugurate infrastructure projects and engage with students.

In his address, Adityanath shared his emotional connection with Government Primary School Thangar, where he studied until class five. He expressed happiness at seeing the school transformed with modern facilities and praised the Uttarakhand government for effectively implementing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision. He also acknowledged IGL’s contribution in providing smart classrooms, state-of-the-art labs, washrooms, and virtual classrooms, emphasising the role of technology in revolutionising education. He stressed that that quality education is a collective effort involving both the government and society.

Adityanath further recalled how, despite limited resources, teachers in his time maintained discipline and dedication, organising cultural events, Bal Sabhas, and sports competitions that positively shaped students. He noted that with private institutions now collaborating in education, government schools are witnessing significant improvements. He urged teachers to maximise these resources for students’ benefit.

Dhami welcomed Adityanath to the state on behalf of Uttarakhand, emphasising the pride and respect the state holds for him. He reminded that Adityanath’s journey from an ordinary background to becoming Chief Minister exemplifies hard work and determination. He praised the transformation of Uttar Pradesh under Adityanath’s leadership, citing significant improvements in law and order, infrastructure, and governance.

Dhami also claimed that Uttarakhand is progressing steadily, ranking first in achieving sustainable development goals according to NITI Aayog. The unemployment rate has declined, and significant efforts have been made to enhance education through modern labs, virtual classrooms, and improved school facilities. He urged Adityanath to extend the Prayagraj-Meerut Ganga Expressway to Haridwar and reaffirmed Uttarakhand’s commitment to quality education. He encouraged students to prioritise education, emphasising that their success would bring pride to the state and the nation.

Rajendra Singh Rawat, Adityanath’s former teacher, recalled Yogi’s academic excellence and dedication from a young age itself. He praised Adityanath’s work ethic and commitment to education, which have been instrumental in his success.

The event was also attended by Cabinet Ministers Satpal Maharaj, Dhan Singh Rawat, Haridwar MP and former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, former Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat, MLA Renu Bisht, IGL Senior Director Umashankar Bhartiya, District Magistrate Ashish Chauhan, Chief Development Officer Girish Gunwant, besides other dignitaries.
