Dehradun, 23 Apr: The first match of the day in the 5th All India P.C. Batta Memorial Cricket Tournament here, today, was played between YPS Mohali and The Asian School. The toss was won by YPS, which chose to bat first scoring a modest total of 106/8 in 20 overs. Anhad Singh scored the most 25 runs in as many deliveries for his team, while Aman Joshi and Siddhant Vohra took 2 wickets, each, for The Asian School. In response, The Asian School was bundled out by YPS Mohali for just 81 runs in 17.4 overs. Ayaan Shrivastava took 4 wickets in 3.4 overs with an economy of 1.91 runs per over and was awarded the Player of the Match Trophy.
The second match was played between DPS Solan and DIS Riverside. The toss was won by DIS Riverside, which elected to field first. Batting first, DPS managed to score 136/6 in 20 overs with Vansh Dharmik scoring 31 in 36 deliveries, with worthy contribution from Shubh Mandal of 28 in 24 deliveries. Vashu Kakran and Kavya Kotak took 2 wickets, each, for DIS. Chasing, DIS Riverside were all out for 109 in 19.3 overs. Lucky Rathi took 3 wickets for DPS, while Kriyansh Chauhan and Vansh Dharmik took 2 wickets, each. Vansh Dharmik was awarded the Player of the Match Trophy.
