11 more U’khandis brought to India from Sudan

Dehradun, 28 Apr: Eleven more residents of Uttarakhand reached New Delhi’s Palam Airport today under “Operation Kaveri”, whereby Indian nationals stranded in Sudan are being evacuated. On reaching New Delhi, these 11 people were received by Ajay Mishra, Resident Commissioner, Uttarakhand, and Manoj Joshi, Assistant Protocol Officer, and Amar Bisht.

This group from Uttarakhand that returned safely to Palam Airport in an Air Force Plane included Girish Garkoti, Abbal Singh, Bhola Singh Panwar, Arvind Prasad Gairola, Vinod Rawat, Kuldeep Singh, Ganesh Singh, Rajesh Singh, Bobby Singh, Naresh Kumar and Binod Kumar Singh. Apart from this, 3 more Uttarakhand residents were received at Mumbai airport late last night by the representative of Uttarakhand, Chandrashekhar Lingwal. These were Uttam Singh Rautela, Prashant Kumar Chaudhary and Yogesh. So far, a total of 24 people belonging to Uttarakhand have been brought back under “Operation Kaveri”.
