Dehradun, 28 Apr: Dr S Farooq, in his address to B Pharma Students of SD College of Pharmacy, Muzaffarnagar, said today that, in the present when Corona virus is again surfacing in different forms, non-antibiotics can fight cold and flu viruses and save lives. He elaborated that nutritional deficiency is the major concern in our country. Phytomedicine could help the immune system.
The batch of 50 students, along with 4 faculty members, also visited the herbal garden, Museum, Laboratories and Manufacturing Area of Himalaya Wellness Company, here. They accepted that this visit is quite different from the classroom studies.
Prof Kishan Aggarwal, who led the team consisting of Prof Popin Kumar, Pallavi Gautam and Sana Zaidi, was impressed after the industrial tour was over.
Dr Dixit, Incharge of labs, emphasised the need for quality control of drugs.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Prof Aggarwal on behalf of Dr Arvind Kumar, Director of the College.
