Dehradun, 23 October: Engineers from various government departments are receiving training from experts at Graphic Era. This training started today at a workshop organised in the university.
Civil engineers from various departments including PWD, MDDA and BRIDCUL participated in this workshop. Managing Director, BRIDCUL, NP Singh addressed the workshop as the Chief Guest. He said that learning new technologies while working is essential for professionals of every field.
Guest of Honour General Manager (HR), BRIDCUL, Anup Kumar highlighted the importance of planning in professional life.
In this 3-day workshop, engineers will receive hands-on experience on new technologies such as micro optic theodolite, global positioning system (GPS), geographic information system (GIS), remote sensing, bitumen testing and concrete testing. The workshop is being organised jointly by Graphic Era Deemed University and Graphic Era Hill University’s Department of Civil Engineering. Assistant Dean (Projects and Training) at Graphic Era Hill University and Convener Dr Shyam Kapri, HoD and Co-Convener Dr Anoop Bahuguna, HoD, Department of Civil Engineering, Graphic Era Deemed University Dr KK Gupta along with Dr Kishan Singh Rawat, Dr Amit Srivastava, Dr Sanjeev Kumar and Dr Sweta Chauhan were also present at the workshop.
