332 newly selected personnel receive appointment letters from CM Dhami

Dehradun, 5 Oct: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday distributed appointment letters to a total of 332 young candidates selected under the AYUSH Department and the Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) Scheme at an appointment letter distribution ceremony held at ‘Chief Sevak Sadan’, here.

Of the 332 newly appointed personnel, 271 have been selected for various posts under the AYUSH Department, while 61 have been selected as Allopathic Pharmacy Officers under the Employees’ State Insurance Scheme. Appointment letters were issued to candidates selected for various positions in the AYUSH Department, including Panchakarma Assistants, Pharmacy Officers, and Yoga and Naturopathy Assistants.

On the occasion, Chief Minister Dhami extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all the newly appointed personnel, as well as their parents and guardians. He said that receiving an appointment letter is not merely an opportunity to enter government service, but is the result of years of hard work, dedication and patience, along with the sacrifices and blessings of their parents and guardians.

The Chief Minister said that parents from ordinary families make numerous sacrifices and face several difficulties to support their children’s education and preparation for competitive examinations. Their guidance, hard work and perseverance make a significant contribution to the success of their children. He said that this day marks an important milestone in the lives of the newly appointed youth and that a new journey of public service has now begun for them.

Addressing the newly appointed personnel, the Chief Minister said that with entry into government service, their administrative responsibilities and accountability towards society have also increased. He called upon them to make honesty, transparency, sensitivity and a sense of duty the foundation of their government service.

The Chief Minister said that the role of personnel associated with the AYUSH Department and the Employees’ State Insurance Scheme is directly linked to the health and lives of the general public. Every person seeking healthcare approaches health workers with trust. Therefore, maintaining that trust through empathetic, sensitive and humane behaviour towards patients and the public is an important responsibility of every government employee.

He said that young people are full of energy, enthusiasm, new ideas and creative abilities. Therefore, the newly appointed personnel should work with a positive outlook and complete dedication to ensure that healthcare services reach people at the last mile. He added that the satisfaction derived from helping and serving those in need is one of the greatest achievements of government service.

The Chief Minister said that AYUSH and AYUSH education hold special significance in Uttarakhand. Continuous efforts are being made to strengthen the state’s rich Ayurvedic and traditional healthcare heritage and make AYUSH services more accessible, effective and quality-oriented for the general public. He expressed the expectation that the newly appointed personnel would discharge their responsibilities with full commitment and contribute to further strengthening the state’s healthcare system.

“Government service is not merely a job; it is a responsibility towards public service. It is the responsibility of every government employee to uphold the trust of the public by working with honesty, sensitivity and dedication.”

On the occasion, Minister of AYUSH and AYUSH Education Madan Kaushik extended his best wishes to the newly appointed personnel. He said that the state government is continuously working to further strengthen AYUSH services and make them more accessible, quality-oriented and people-centric. He said that the induction of the newly appointed personnel would enhance the functioning of the department and further strengthen AYUSH healthcare services across different parts of the state.

He expressed the expectation that the newly appointed personnel would discharge their responsibilities with complete dedication, sensitivity and a spirit of service and play an active role in providing better healthcare services to the public.

Minister Madan Kaushik, Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, MLA Umesh Sharma Kau, MLA Savita Kapoor, senior officers of the departments, selected candidates and their parents and guardians were present at the ceremony.
