Dehradun, 26 Apr: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended the 133rd episode of the Prime Minister’s radio programme, ‘Mann Ki Baat’, at Mothrowala, here today. He joined a large gathering of the local residents to listen to the address. During the event, the CM observed that the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme serves as a profound source of inspiration for the citizens across the nation. He emphasised that through this platform, the PM effectively highlights the commendable efforts, innovations, start-up initiatives, cleanliness drives, the vision of a self-reliant India, environmental conservation and matters pertaining to folk culture. He noted that such discourse encourages the public to progress and achieve greater heights.
The CM further observed that the programme has successfully provided a dedicated platform for the contributions of ordinary citizens. This, he suggested, has helped identify and celebrate exceptional work taking place in every corner of the country, thereby fostering an environment of positive change. He described the programme as a continuous journey that remains a beacon of inspiration for millions of Indians. Reminding the gathering of various national achievements, Dhami asserted that dedication and hard work inevitably yield results. Under the leadership of PM Modi, India’s honour, prestige and self-esteem have risen in every sector. He asserted that India has emerged as a major economic power, making significant strides in the fields of science, defence, and artificial intelligence. He also reminded that the nation now exports defence equipment and weaponry to other countries, which serves as a testament to the success of the self-reliant India initiative.
Turning to the state, the CM claimed that Uttarakhand is consistently progressing along the path of development under the central leadership. Modern infrastructure, including road and rail connectivity, is now reaching even the most remote border regions. He reiterated that Uttarakhand will play a pivotal role in the vision of a developed India. Reflecting on the PM’s special affinity for the state, he recalled the PM’s declaration from the land of Baba Kedar that the third decade of the 21st century would be the decade of Uttarakhand. He assured that the state government is working relentlessly to fulfil this resolve and that the results are already becoming evident. Reaffirming the state’s commitment, Dhami said the government is dedicated to preserving the culture, faith, and spiritual essence of Uttarakhand and is ensuring that the divine nature of Devbhoomi remains eternal. He also mentioned the implementation of several stringent laws, including those against riots, religious conversion, and examination malpractice, noting that these measures are becoming models for other states. The CM added that in regions governed by the double-engine administration, the pace of development is twice as rapid.
Among those present on the occasion were local MLA Vinod Chamoli, Pratap Singh Panwar, Sarita Dangwal, Mohit Sharma, and several other dignitaries and the local residents.
