Petrol, diesel stock adequate in Dehradun: DSO

DEHRADUN, 30 May: District Supply Officer KK Agrawal on Saturday informed that Dehradun district has sufficient reserves of petrol and diesel and fuel supply remains completely normal. Agrawal also appealed to the citizens not to indulge in unnecessary stocking of fuel and not to pay heed to rumours. He informed that under the directions of the District Magistrate, intensive inspections of petrol pumps across the district are being carried out.
Agrawal stated that in all a total of 167 petrol and diesel pumps are operating in Dehradun district, including 72 of Indian Oil Corporation, 34 of Bharat Petroleum, 41 of Hindustan Petroleum, 10 of Nayara and 10 of Reliance. He added that regular reviews are being conducted to ensure adequate availability at all pumps, with continuous coordination maintained with officials of oil companies.
He further said that daily stock details are being obtained from oil companies as per the DM’s instructions. As of 29 May 2026, the district had reserves of 2,526 kilolitres of petrol and 2,074 kilolitres of diesel.
Agrawal clarified that the supply of petrol and diesel is continuing smoothly without any disruption. All petrol pumps have been directed to maintain adequate stock as per prescribed standards. He reassured the public that there is no need for anxiety regarding fuel availability, as the administration is keeping constant watch and ensuring additional supply wherever required. Fuel availability in the district is completely normal and citizens will not face any inconvenience.
