CM approves Rs 10.08 crores for development works

DEHRADUN, 20 Jun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has sanctioned financial and administrative approvals of expenditure amounting to Rs 10.08 crore for various development projects and construction works across several districts of the State. The approvals aim to accelerate developmental activities and ensure effective implementation of public welfare announcements.
In Pithoragarh district, Rs 1.42 crore has been approved for the development of Harichand Devta Temple under a Master Plan, Rs 70.87 lakh for the construction of an internal link road at Lohargaon, Rs 63.39 lakh for the beautification and construction works at Batkeshwar Temple and pilgrimage site in Kharkadesh Patti, and Rs 81.43 lakh for the construction of a pedestrian path from Nanda Temple to Kholi Ban in Uchchaidi village under Dharchula constituency.
In Almora district, Rs 53.51 lakh has been sanctioned for the construction and beautification of Shiv Temple at Bhikiyasain under Salt constituency, Rs 98.25 lakh for the beautification of the ancient Gopeshwar Mahadev Temple, construction of ghats and a safety check dam under Someshwar constituency, and Rs 42.98 lakh for installation of 50 hand pumps in different areas of Someshwar.
In Pauri district, Rs 85.74 lakh has been approved for developing the road from Janaki Bridge to Chaurasi Kutiya in Yamkeshwar constituency as Beatles Street. Under Srinagar constituency, Rs 95.66 lakh has been sanctioned for tarring and improvement of the Sankarsain–Barsila–Bagad motor road and Rs 46.19 lakh for construction of the motor road up to BRC Kotli village, totalling Rs 1.42 crore.
In Champawat district, an amount of Rs 75 lakh has been sanctioned for the beautification of Shiv Temple in Dungarifartyal Gram Panchayat under Lohaghat constituency and Rs 25 lakh for beautification of Maa Kardai Temple in Motyuraj Gram Panchayat.
In Nainital district, an amount of Rs 87.95 lakh has been approved for the construction of one dharamshala each at Kaidagaon Bug site in Okhalkanda block and at Maunibaba Ashram in Dhari under Bhimtal constituency.
In Dehradun district, an amount of Rs 39.996 lakh has been sanctioned for painting, plastering and repair works at Guru Nanak Public Women’s Inter College, Khudbura.
While according sanction to these development works, Dhami noted that the State government is consistently working for the preservation and promotion of religious sites, strengthening of basic infrastructure, improvement of connectivity and expansion of public facilities. He added that the execution of these schemes will not only boost tourism at the local level but also provide better amenities to the people and give fresh momentum to regional development.
