Dehradun, 21 Jun: MDDA officials claim that efforts to make the Mussoorie‑Dehradun Development Authority’s City Forest Park more modern, well‑equipped and citizen‑friendly have gathered pace. After the International Yoga Day programme, Chief Secretary (CS) Anand Bardhan inspected the 12‑acre park in detail, reviewing facilities such as the children’s park, cafeteria, cycle track, three‑dimensional movie theatre, solar plant, nursery, open gym, open theatre, EV charging station and enquiry centre. Following the yoga session today, he also interacted with the visitors, the tourists and the cafeteria operators to gather feedback on the quality and usefulness of services. Stressing that the success of any public space depends on public acceptance and utility, the CS directed the officials to introduce a QR code‑based online feedback system so that citizens can share their views directly. He praised the park’s cleanliness, greenery, energy conservation measures and environmental initiatives, noting that it has emerged as an excellent medium for connecting urban life with nature.

Following his instructions, MDDA has begun preparations to further improve the park’s facilities. Vice‑Chairman Banshidhar Tiwari shared with the media that the suggestions and directions received during the inspection will be implemented on priority. He added that digital services, public amenities and environmental safeguards will be strengthened to ensure City Forest Park consolidates its identity as one of Dehradun’s finest public spaces.
