Dehradun, 22 Jun: BJP state president and Rajya Sabha member Mahendra Bhatt today chaired a significant joint meeting of all party fronts termed by the party as Morchas, at which the organisational roadmap for upcoming programmes was finalised. Bhatt also called for greater electoral preparedness for the upcoming assembly polls in the state. The meeting was also attended by state general secretaries Kundan Parihar and Deepti Rawat along with presidents and general secretaries of all seven party fronts.
Addressing the gathering, Bhatt claimed that, like in the rest of the country, in Uttarakhand, too, the people have unwavering faith in the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. He asserted that the people have consistently endorsed the efforts and achievements of the double engine government and have already made up their minds to see the lotus bloom again in the 2027 Assembly elections. He cautioned, however, that the party should not rest satisfied and must strive to secure even greater public blessings by involving citizens in the mission of building a developed Uttarakhand. He directed all the office bearers of the fronts to swiftly take the programmes decided by the party to the mandal and booth levels within their respective communities. He said that people are experiencing the transformation brought by development schemes and it is the responsibility of the party to ensure that information about these welfare initiatives and achievements reaches the last person in society.
The meeting also discussed in detail the ongoing revision of the electoral rolls (SIR). Bhatt emphasised that this campaign is of utmost importance as the success of democracy depends on error-free voter lists. He instructed the office bearers to work on priority to ensure that no eligible voter is left out and that ineligible names, particularly those of infiltrators, are removed. He firmly stated that the decision to form the government in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand rests solely with the original people of Devbhoomi.
The joint meeting saw participation from the youth front, women’s front, scheduled caste front, OBC front, farmers’ front, scheduled tribe front and minority front. The state presidents and general secretaries of the morchas also pledged to implement upcoming programmes successfully at the grassroots level. It was emphasised that the collective strength of the party fronts would play a decisive role in ensuring another victory for the lotus in 2027.
