New Delhi/Dehradun, 23 Jun: Uttarakhand Cooperation Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat met IFFCO Chairman Dilip Sanghani in New Delhi today. During the meeting held at the IFFCO headquarters, Dr Rawat urged IFFCO to further strengthen its participation in the agriculture and cooperative sectors in Uttarakhand. The two leaders also discussed launching the “Save Farms, Save Life” campaign on a large scale across the state and preparing a comprehensive action plan for farmers with IFFCO’s support.
In a statement issued to the media, Dr Dhan Singh Rawat said that he visited the IFFCO headquarters in New Delhi, where he held detailed discussions with Chairman Dilip Sanghani on several important issues related to the state. These included conservation of natural resources, improvement of soil health, promotion of organic and natural farming, balanced use of fertilisers, and connecting farmers with modern agricultural technologies. It was also decided to organise various awareness programmes to educate farmers about scientific and sustainable agricultural practices.
Dr Rawat said that, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, effective efforts are being made in the state to promote natural farming and enhance farmers’ income. Several schemes are being implemented to make farmers self-reliant and agriculture more profitable. During the discussion, Dr Rawat requested the IFFCO Chairman to further increase the organisation’s participation in agriculture and cooperative activities in Uttarakhand and to support the statewide implementation of the “Save Farms, Save Life” campaign for the benefit of farmers.
Accepting the minister’s proposal, Chairman Dilip Sanghani said that IFFCO would soon organise a major farmers’ conference in Uttarakhand. The conference will focus on IFFCO’s participation in the state, farmer welfare initiatives, and strategies to strengthen the agricultural sector.
The meeting was attended by IFFCO Managing Director KJ Patel, Marketing Manager Yogendra Kumar, IFFCO Director from Uttarakhand Umesh Tripathi, Pradeep Chaudhary, and other senior officials.
