Mussoorie, 15 Jul: Students of Guru Nanak Fifth Centenary School have brought glory to their school and Mussoorie by achieving another milestone in the world of sports. Seven students from the school have been selected for the regional CISCE Throwball team based on their stellar performance in the state-level trials. Following this success, there is an atmosphere of joy on the school campus, with a steady stream of well-wishers congratulating the students.
Players from various schools participated in the state-level selection trials held today. The Guru Nanak School students impressed the selectors with their excellent sporting skills, fitness, team spirit, and disciplined performance, securing spots in the regional team. The selected students include Kritika Singh, Siddhi Chaudhary, Aradhya Goswami, Ekamjot Kaur, Gururahmat Kaur, Pavit Kaur, and Pihu Bhatt. These players achieved this feat through months of regular practice and hard work. Expressing happiness over the students’ achievement, School Principal Anil Tiwari stated that this is not merely the success of seven players but a matter of pride for the entire school family. He remarked that the selection of such a large number of players for the regional team is the result of the students’ dedication and discipline, combined with the guidance of the coaching staff. He expressed confidence that these players would continue to perform excellently in upcoming competitions, bringing honour to the school, Mussoorie, and Uttarakhand at the national level. The school management noted that the institution places equal importance on sports activities alongside academics. Students are provided with modern training, regular practice sessions, and ample opportunities to participate in competitions, ensuring their talent is nurtured in the right direction. Following the announcement of the selection, there was an atmosphere of excitement at the school. Teachers, parents, and fellow students congratulated the selected players by offering them sweets and wished them a bright future. The school management stated that this achievement would serve as an inspiration for other students and that, in the future, an increasing number of students would excel in sports and bring glory to the school.
