Mussoorie, 21 Jul: Sameer Panwar, a young writer from Mussoorie, has achieved another significant milestone in the literary world with his second poetry book, ‘Stella Versum’. The book was formally launched by the world-renowned hepatologist and gastroenterologist Dr SK Sarin at the prestigious Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences in New Delhi.

‘Stella Versum’ is a collection of 48 symbolic poems that powerfully present themes of love, compassion, human emotions, and life values. The Latin phrase ‘Stella Versum’ translates to ‘Story of the Stars’. Each poem in the book is not merely an expression of emotions but also an attempt to inspire readers towards positive life values, ethics, and social responsibilities. Sameer Panwar has beautifully blended rhyming and free-verse styles in his poetry. Touching upon themes such as love, coexistence, humanity, and introspection, his works convey a message of building a better society. Literature enthusiasts believe that this book can play a vital role in raising awareness among the younger generation about positive thinking and human values. A resident of Mussoorie, Sameer Panwar is currently pursuing his PhD at IMS Unison University, Dehradun.

His debut poetry book, ‘Ringing Ripples’, had also been well-received by literature lovers. ‘Stella Versum’ is his second book, which he has dedicated to the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences, New Delhi. Beyond literature, Sameer is also an avid reader, a quizzer, and a badminton player. This achievement at such a young age is a source of pride not only for Mussoorie but for the entire state of Uttarakhand.

While congratulating Sameer, local litterateurs and educationists expressed confidence that he would continue to guide society in a new direction through his writing in the future. This achievement by Sameer Panwar—an emerging young talent—demonstrates that youth hailing from the mountain regions can indeed carve a niche for themselves in the national literary landscape. Through Stella Versum, Sameer has articulated emotions, ideas, and human values in a way that leaves a lasting impression on the minds of readers.
