Dehradun, 3 Aug: Young Indians (Yi) Dehradun Chapter successfully organised Young India Parliament (YiP) 3.0 at Town Hall, Dehradun, bringing together 125 students from five leading schools to experience the spirit of parliamentary democracy and policy-driven debate.
The event was inaugurated by Minister Khajan Das, who inspired the young participants to actively engage in nation-building and develop leadership, critical thinking, and public speaking skills. He appreciated Young Indians for providing a unique platform where students could understand the functioning of Parliament while debating contemporary national issues.
The students participated in a structured parliamentary session, assuming the roles of Members of Parliament, the Speaker, and the Opposition. The debate centred on the E20 agenda, where participants presented well-researched arguments, counterarguments, and policy recommendations, demonstrating remarkable confidence, analytical thinking, and parliamentary decorum.
The valedictory session was graced by Vishwas Dawar, Chairman, Infrastructure Monitoring Council, Uttarakhand, who distributed awards to the outstanding participants. He congratulated all the students for their exceptional performances and encouraged them to continue contributing towards building a stronger and more progressive India through informed dialogue and responsible leadership.
Speaking on the occasion, the leadership of Young Indians Dehradun reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing future leaders by creating experiential learning platforms that promote democratic values, civic responsibility, and youth participation in governance.
The event concluded with an enthusiastic response from students, teachers, and dignitaries, making Young India Parliament 3.0 another significant milestone in empowering the youth of Uttarakhand.
