Dehradun, 30 Aug: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami listened to the 137th edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Mann Ki Baat” programme in Kuanwala, here, on Sunday.
Following the programme, the Chief Minister stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Mann Ki Baat” programme has become an effective medium for inspiring citizens to actively participate in nation-building, as well as for showcasing innovative initiatives and people bringing positive change to society.
The Chief Minister stated that in “Mann Ki Baat”, the Prime Minister has conveyed the message of keeping youth away from drugs and transforming the pledge of a “drug-free youth-developed India” into a mass movement. Drug-free youth are the strong foundation of a strong and developed India. The Prime Minister’s call will not only increase awareness among the youth of the country against drug abuse but will also provide new energy to the creation of a healthy, positive, and dedicated youth force for nation-building.
The Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister also mentioned innovative efforts being made to convey India’s glorious history and heritage to the new generation in an interesting and simple manner. Such efforts connect youth with the country’s rich history and strengthen their sense of pride in their culture, heritage, and nation.
The Chief Minister said that, through “Mann Ki Baat”, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is providing national recognition to the extraordinary work, innovations, and public participation efforts being undertaken by ordinary citizens in various regions of the country. This inspires others in society to bring about positive change in their own areas and contribute to nation-building.
The Chief Minister called upon the people of the state, especially the youth, to incorporate the Prime Minister’s messages into their lives and actively contribute to building a drug-free, healthy, empowered, and developed India.
Rajya Sabha MP and BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt, Cabinet Ministers Satpal Maharaj, Ganesh Joshi, Dr Dhan Singh Rawat, Madan Kaushik, Bharat Chaudhary, and other public representatives were present on the occasion.
