Dehradun, 31 Aug: Wynberg-Allen School, Mussoorie, organised the ‘Capta Cealum Competition’ on Saturday. It was a platform that brought together talented young minds from some of the country’s renowned schools, giving students the opportunity to showcase their creativity, confidence, talent and teamwork.
The event featured an exciting spectrum of Competitions in Dance, Music, Art, Modelling, Headgear and Stand-Up Comedy, providing students a vibrant platform to explore and celebrate their diverse talents.
A total of 14 schools participated in the event, including The OASIS, Tula’s International School, Delhi Public School, Ghaziabad, TonsBridge School, Unison World School, Jaswant Modern School, Yadavindra Public School, Patiala, La Martiniere College, Lucknow, Oak Grove School, Welham Boys’ School, Mussoorie Public School, Bishop Cotton Boys’ School, Bengaluru, and Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun. With every school bringing its own distinctive talent and enthusiasm, the competition was a true celebration of creativity, preparation, teamwork and stage presence.
St Jude’s School delivered a series of remarkable performances and emerged with several accolades, securing 2nd Position in Group Dance, 2nd Position in Western Duet Singing and 2nd Position in 3D Canvas. Adding to the School’s achievements, Alankrita Sharma was honoured as the Promising Artist in the Dance Category.
The crowning achievement of the day came when St Jude’s School once again lifted the coveted Overall Winner Trophy, reaffirming its excellence and its position among the finest participating schools.
The Western Duet Singing team delivered a confident and musically engaging performance, securing an impressive 2nd Position. The team featured Abhay Mishra and Arush Kumar as singers, accompanied by Anshuman Nautiyal on guitar and Benjamin Abraham on drums. The students were trained by Vijay Shahi, whose dedicated guidance and musical mentorship played a significant role in helping them develop vocal expression, coordination, musicality and stage confidence, contributing to their outstanding performance.
The Group Dance team brought together remarkable energy, precision, coordination, and powerful stage expression to secure an impressive 2nd Position. The team comprised Ekaagra Chauhan, Anirudh Thapa, Ayushi Panwar, Anshika Negi, Alankrita Sharma, Aaditya Jugran, Sashtha Chhetri, and Ridgima Negi. The dancers were trained by Wilson Lakra, whose creative choreography and dedicated guidance helped them transform their hard work and practice into a compelling and energetic stage performance. Adding another feather to the School’s cap, Alankrita Sharma was also honoured with the title of Promising Artist in the Dance Category, further highlighting her exceptional talent and dedication.
The 3D Canvas Competition provided a wonderful platform for students to transform their creative concepts into striking visual artwork. Representing St Jude’s School, Gayethri showcased her creativity, imagination and artistic skill, securing an impressive 2nd Position. Under the dedicated guidance and mentorship of Rishabh Kant, Gayethri brought her artistic vision to life, adding another significant achievement to St Jude’s impressive tally of accolades.
The Headgear Event challenged participants to explore imagination, innovative design and artistic expression in an unconventional format. Representing St Jude’s School, Srishti, Avani Rawat, Anamika Rawat, and Pradyumna Pal participated with enthusiasm and creativity under the guidance of Rishabh Kant. Their participation reflected the students’ originality, artistic vision and willingness to experiment with new forms of creative expression, showcasing their confidence in exploring ideas beyond conventional boundaries.
The Modelling Event provided a wonderful platform for students to express confidence, individuality, poise, and stage presence. Representing St Jude’s School, Rishima and Anshika Singh participated with enthusiasm and confidence under the training and guidance of Reema Saklani. Their graceful presentation, self-assurance, and personality reflected the effective mentorship they received, enabling them to represent St Jude’s School with confidence and elegance.
The announcement of the overall results brought the most memorable moment of the day. St Jude’s School was declared the Overall Winner, proudly lifting the Overall Winner Trophy once again.
The event was also judged by Charlie Frost and Somya Sood, whose expertise and fair evaluation added significance to the Competition.
