Electoral roll schedule issued for District Planning Committee elections

Dehradun, 5 Sep: State Election Commissioner, Sushil Kumar, has announced the schedule for the preparation of electoral rolls for the election of members to the District Planning Committees (DPCs) in all the districts of Uttarakhand, excluding the entire area of the Haridwar district panchayat. He informed that the draft publication of electoral rolls will take place on 8th September 2026, inspection and filing of claims and objections will be held on 10th September, disposal of claims and objections on 12th September, and the final publication of the electoral rolls will be made on 15th September 2026.

According to the prescribed timetable, the District Magistrate and Returning Officer (District Planning Committee) will ensure that the programme for preparing the electoral rolls of elected members of district panchayats and urban local bodies is publicised through local newspapers. For the information of the electoral college, the rolls will also be displayed at the offices of the District Magistrate, district panchayat headquarters and all urban local body headquarters. The entire process will be conducted by the Returning Officer and District Magistrate.
