Dehradun, 13 Apr: Uttarakhand Congress Committee President Karan Mahara today claimed that huge gatherings at Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi’s rallies in Uttarakhand indicate that the people want to bring Congress back to power. In a statement issued today, Mahra expressed his gratitude to All India Congress Committee General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra for addressing rallies in Ramnagar and Roorkee and also congratulated the Congress workers for the immense success of her election rallies in Ramnagar and Roorkee.
Mahara said that the huge crowd that reached Priyanka Gandhi’s election rally has proved that the people of the state are once again looking towards the Congress with hopeful eyes and are ready to vote for the Lok Sabha on 19 April for a change in the government at the Centre. Congress candidates in the state will receive the blessings of the people of Uttarakhand on the day of voting.
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who came to Uttarakhand two days ago, did not speak anything on even a single burning issue of the people of the state except merely cursing the Congress and giving a religion-based speech and that he made an unsuccessful attempt to instigate the religious sentiments of the people. On the contrary, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has drawn the public’s attention to the burning problems of the state and appealed to them to vote on those issues.
Mahara claimed that whether it is the case of farmers, whether it is the case of Ankita Bhandari murder case, whether it is the case of Agniveer scheme which is playing with the future of youth or the case of recruitment scam, unemployment or poverty, Priyanka Vadra touched all the aspects in her address. She has assured the public to solve these problems when Congress comes to power.
Expressing his gratitude to the party’s National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi, the State Congress President said that she has worked to instill a new enthusiasm among the party workers, which will definitely benefit the party’s candidates on 19 April and the Congress Party will win all the five Lok Sabha seats of the state with an overwhelming majority.
