DEHRADUN, 31 July: In order to make the advertisement policy related to print media to be promulgated by the Uttarakhand government more effective and rational, members of the sub–committee of the Press Council of India (PCI) met Director General of Information Banshidhar Tiwari at the Information Bhawan, Ladpur on Wednesday. The sub–committee also discussed with the departmental officials in this regard.
On this occasion, members of the sub–committee of the PCI, Gurinder Singh, Shyam Singh Panwar, Aarti Tripathi were present, while DG Information was accompanied by Additional Director Ashish Kumar Tripathi, Joint Director KS Chauhan, Deputy Director Manoj Srivastava and Deputy Director Ravi Bijarnia.
Banshidhar Tiwari informed the members of the sub–committee of the PCI about the efforts being made in the interest of newspapers and their representatives in the state. He informed that efforts have been made to make the advertisement policy related to print media practical in the state.
It is noteworthy that during their visit to Uttarakhand, the members of the Indian Press Council Sub–Committee discussed the advertisement policy of Uttarakhand Government’s print media and advertisement policy with the stakeholders of Uttarakhand at the Media Center, Secretariat on Tuesday and senior officials of all journalist organizations registered with the Labor Department of Uttarakhand, other journalist organizations, State Press Club Dehradun and senior officials of Press Club Dehradun and obtained their suggestions.
