DEHRADUN, 31 August: Uttaranchal University inaugurated an internal hackathon on 31 August 2024 for university students in the transdisciplinary domain. 500+ students participated in the event, solving problem statements given by Government agencies, PSUs, and State Governments for the Smart India Hackathon.
The event was inaugurated by Uttaranchal University President Jitender Joshi. During his address, he motivated the students to participate in the events, come up with innovative solutions to problem statements, file patents, and ensure every possible support for the betterment of society.
Vice Chancellor Prof Dharam Buddhi asked the students to collect the problems of students from their areas and try to find a solution for the same. He also extended his best wishes to the participants. Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof Rajesh Bahuguna talked about benchmarking in innovation and solving problems. Director Research & Innovation Prof Rajesh Singh discussed the event and its importance with participants.
The Jury Members of the event include Dr Brij Mohan Sharma, Dr Gulshan Kumar Dhingra, Dr Ranjan Mishra, Dr Ankur Dumka, Dr Ravindra Sharma, Amit Kumar Gupta and Yogesh Kumar Gupta. Director-UIT Dr Sumit Chaudhury proposed the vote of thanks.
