Dehradun, 7 Nov: Governor Lt General Gurmit Singh (Retd), today, held a meeting at the Raj Bhavan, here, with AI and technology experts, Gopikrishna Reddy and MVN Sai, to discuss the expansion of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and technology, along with potential areas for their application. The meeting was also attended by the Additional Secretary to the Governor, Swati S Bhadoria.
The discussions during the meeting focused on how AI and technological advancements can be utilised to provide better services and opportunities to citizens. The Governor sought expert suggestions on integrating AI into critical sectors such as disaster management, healthcare, agriculture, education, and tourism.
The Governor stated that AI and technology could provide a new direction for the state’s development and play a crucial role in transforming Uttarakhand into a hub for AI and technology. He emphasised that the importance of AI and technology is rapidly increasing, with its global acceptance growing.
Furthermore, the Governor encouraged the youth of Uttarakhand to step forward and establish their own startups in the field of AI and technology. Under the Governor’s guidance, Raj Bhavan has already initiated several innovative efforts in the field of AI and technology, with the aim of fostering a technology-driven work culture.
