Dehradun, 11 Nov: Junior Under Officer Haroon Imtiaz of the NCC Directorate, Jammu, met Governor Lt General Gurmeet Singh (Retd) at the Raj Bhavan, here, today.
On this occasion, Haroon presented the Governor a book, titled “Rashtriya Rifles: Indian Army”, which he has co-authored with NCC Cadet Janvi. The book highlights the glorious history, operational skills, dedication, and inspirational stories of brave soldiers of the Rashtriya Rifles, showcasing their contributions.
The Governor appreciated Haroon for writing this book and shared that he has had the privilege of serving with the Rashtriya Rifles in Kashmir. The book provided him an opportunity to relive his unique experiences in service. The Governor also praised Haroon’s research and his efforts to present the glorious history of the Indian Army at such a young age. He stated that this book would also raise awareness among other youth about the contributions and dedication of the Indian Army.
