LS Speaker exhorts youth to making India  global leader

DEHRADUN, 17 Nov: Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla emphasized the collective responsibility of India’s youth and citizens in positioning the country as a global leader in the 21st century.

Birla who was the Chief Guest at the annual celebration of Tons Bridge School here on Sunday said, “India’s leadership potential is enhancing the country’s reputation globally. Many luminaries, like former President Abdul Kalam Azad, have illuminated India’s name on the world stage and serve as inspirations for millions.”

Inviting the students of Tons Bridge School to visit the Lok Sabha, he said, “When students go there and study the philosophy of the freedom fighters who contributed to our Independence movement, they will be inspired to become exemplary citizens.”

The Lok Sabha Speaker also highlighted environmental concerns, “The entire world is currently very concerned about the environment.

Environmentalist Padma Vibhushan awardee Dr Anil Joshi of HESCO has made significant efforts in this direction by initiating a public movement focused on water, forests, and land, raising awareness about environmental issues,” he stated.

Chairman of The Tons Bridge School Vijay Nagar, Chancellor of Uttaranchal University Jitendra Joshi, DIS Group of School Chairman DS Mann, MLA Savita Kapoor were also present on the occasion amongst others.
