DEHRADUN, 18 Nov: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami suddenly reached Gairsain on Monday evening without any protocol and security or prior intimation to the local administration. He reached here after ending his election campaign at Kedarnath and addressing rallies there on the last day of campaign for the Assembly by-poll to be held on November 20.
The officials of Gairsain were taken by surprise as they received the news of this unexpected arrival of the Chief Minister. Probably in view of the fact that since the formation of the state, no Chief Minister has not visited Gairsain without any pre-scheduled programme or information. He has also decided to make a night halt Gairsain.
At the same time, now the administration is claiming that that this visit to Gairsain without any government programme or Assembly session symbolises that Chief Minister Dhami is not only aware of the remote and inaccessible areas of the state, but is also giving them priority. The officials also claimed that the CM’s repeated visits to Gairsain show his special sensitivity and attachment towards this area. This underlines the dedicated thinking and connect with the roots, of his leadership.
