Dehradun, 2 Dec: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today conducted an onsite inspection of the ongoing construction work on the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway at Dat Kali Mandir, here. During the visit, he sought detailed updates from officials about the use of modern technologies and environmental safety measures in the construction process of the expressway.

On this occasion, the CM noted that the expressway work in Dehradun is in its final stages. He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari for their efforts in ensuring the rapid progress of the project.

Dhami reminded that, once completed, the expressway would reduce the travel time between Dehradun and Delhi to just two to two and a half hours, significantly easing transportation and enhancing convenience for travellers, including pilgrims undertaking the Chardham Yatra.

The CM further noted that the project would play a vital role in boosting Uttarakhand’s economy by promoting tourism and business activities. He also added that this project integrates ecological considerations with economic development, featuring Asia’s largest wildlife corridor. This corridor ensures the protection and safe movement of wildlife, marking a significant step toward sustainable development.
