Mussoorie, 20 Dec: To solve the problem of traffic jams here during the tourist season, SV Infotech Software Solutions has developed a unique real-time parking app. This app helps in real-time monitoring of parking status in the city, which will improve traffic management and provide convenience to tourists and local administration. Gaurav Kumar, CEO of SV Infotech Software Solutions, said today that the Real-Time Parking App for Mussoorie was launched in collaboration with local hotels in the auditorium of Mussoorie Municipality. The Real-Time Parking App will provide hotels a simple and user-friendly interface to update the real-time status of parking in their premises. This information will be shared with the local police department so that the parking capacity of the city can be managed effectively. He said the key features of the app include real-time information on parking slots in Mussoorie, integrated with shuttle services, which will help in facilitating movement of tourists when parking is full in the city. A simple login system for hotels to register vehicles (such as vehicle number) entering their premises. He said the app will also act as a bridge between local hotels and the police department to direct tourists to alternate parking spaces (such as Kincraig) from where shuttle services can take them to the city.
This initiative is considered to be an important step towards maintaining the beauty of Mussoorie through technology as well as handling the increasing tourist numbers. He said SV Infotech Software Solutions is committed to contributing to the sustainable development of Mussoorie and developing innovative solutions to local challenges.
Mussoorie Traders’ Welfare Association President Rajat Aggarwal said that a real-time parking app has been prepared for Mussoorie but only selected hotels in Mussoorie have been added to the software whereas there are 450 hotels and hundreds of guest houses in Mussoorie which have their own parking. Similarly, there are hundreds of hotels and guest houses in the areas around Mussoorie, Kempty and Dhanolti, which should be added to the prepared app. He said that the real-time parking app for Mussoorie by the administration and the government will be successful only when all the hotels, guest houses and homestays of Mussoorie and the surrounding area will be accommodated in it.
On this occasion, many people including Sandeep Sahni, Sanjay Agarwal, Ajay Bhargava, Deepak Gupta, Mussoorie Kotwal, Arvind Chaudhary, Jagjit Kukreja, Jogendra were also present.
