Dehradun, 26 Dec: Soldiers’ Welfare Minister Ganesh Joshi participated today in the Free Cataract Surgery Week programme organised jointly by Army Hospital (RR Hospital), Delhi, and Military Hospital, Dehradun, for ex-servicemen and their families. On this occasion, Minister Ganesh Joshi also met the ex-servicemen and their dependants who had come for the examination. Joshi suggested to the military officials to set up camps in remote areas of the state so that more ex-servicemen and their dependants could benefit. The Minister also extended his best wishes to the organisers of the event.

The camp is being held from 24 to 27 December at the Military Hospital and is providing free cataract checkups and surgeries for ex-servicemen and their dependants. Brigadier Sanjay Kumar Mishra and his team of specialists will carry out advanced cataract surgeries using state-of-the-art equipment and imported intraocular lenses.

During the camp, cataract screenings will be conducted, followed by surgeries for eligible cases. The surgeries will be performed using advanced eye care equipment from Army Hospital Research and Referral, New Delhi, and will include the implantation of imported premium intraocular lenses, ensuring the highest quality treatment.

On this occasion, Brigadier Parikshit Singh, Commandant of Military Hospital Dehradun, Brigadier Sanjay Kumar Mishra, and other military officers were also present.
