DEHRADUN, 4 Jan: District Magistrate Savin Bansal on Saturday flagged off the first state-of-the-art Mobile Eye Clinic of Shri Om Foundation Public Trust and Rahi Netra Dham, Dehradun’s Super Speciality Eye Hospital from the Mussoorie Diversion Road, Rajpur Road.
The District Magistrate stated that this initiative is an excellent example of ensuring access to eye care services in rural and remote areas of Uttarakhand. He emphasized that this clinic could save the eyesight of thousands of people. He further mentioned that while the government is committed to enhancing healthcare services in the state, social organizations play a significant role in bringing such efforts forward, especially in rural and remote areas. These initiatives will not only help in conducting health screenings but will also raise awareness about health check-ups. He appealed to NGOs and other social organizations to dedicate themselves to such work for the benefit of the general public.
