Instructs MDDDA to develop basic facilities while maintaining natural look of track

CM Dhami inspects Dehradun-Mussoorie Trekking Route on foot

Dehradun, 5 Jan: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today conducted an on-foot inspection of the Dehradun to Mussoorie trekking route and reviewed the basic facilities available.

He directed the MDDDA to ensure that while maintaining the natural beauty of the track, basic facilities like seating areas, food, water, toilets, and others for trekkers, tourists, and the general public are developed. He also recommended installing attractive signage for better cleanliness, route guidance, and safety, along with emergency measures.

During the inspection, he interacted with senior citizens and experienced trekkers, gathering feedback to be incorporated into the route development.

The Chief Minister emphasised that other trekking routes in the state will also be improved, enabling tourists and trekkers from across the country and the world to experience the natural beauty, the culture of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’, and unique offerings of Uttarakhand, leaving with wonderful memories.

Present on the occasion were Director General, Information, Banshidhar Tiwari, Member Secretary, Pollution Control Board, Parag Dakhate, and other concerned officials.
