Dehradun, 21 May: The BJP in Uttarakhand is currently actively engaged in organising the ‘Tiranga Shaurya Yatra’ under the leadership of State Party President and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt. Speaking on the occasion, Bhatt claimed that there is immense enthusiasm among people following the success of Operation Sindoor and urged opposition leaders to join in honouring the valour of the armed forces.
Bhatt attended the Tiranga Shaurya Samman Yatra in Pokhari, Chamoli district, organised under the banner of ‘Citizens for National Security’. Addressing the media on the occasion, he claimed that the overwhelming public response to the yatra reflects the significance of Operation Sindoor. He also lauded the Indian Army for eliminating terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack and swiftly retaliating against provocations from Pakistan. Bhatt observed that citizens across Uttarakhand, like the rest of the country, are participating in the yatra to pay tribute to the courage and achievements of the armed forces.
Responding to questions on the Congress’s stance, Bhatt remarked that national interest and security unite the country, urging leaders of the INDI Alliance, including the Congress, to reconsider their position. He asserted that patriotism and politics are distinct aspects, and political leaders should determine their priorities accordingly.
