Haridwar, 21 May: The campus of Quantum University, Haridwar, witnessed a surge of entrepreneurial energy on the 2nd day (20 May) of the Startup Bootcamp 2025, conducted under the RAMP Programme by IIM Kashipur and organised in association with Startup Uttarakhand, Genesis QUIC, AICTE, Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell, and Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC).

The event was designed to foster innovation, nurture startup ideas, and strengthen the entrepreneurial spirit among students, early-stage founders, and budding innovators in the region. With more than 23 startups pitching their visionary ideas, the second day turned into a launchpad for creativity, mentorship, and investment-readiness.

The day commenced with an insightful keynote address from  Anupam Dwivedi, Joint Director, Industries, Government of Uttarakhand, who spoke passionately about the transformative power of entrepreneurship in shaping not only individual futures but the regional economy at large.

“The future of Uttarakhand lies in the hands of these young innovators. It’s inspiring to witness students from diverse backgrounds creating scalable, impactful solutions. Entrepreneurship is no longer just a career path — it’s a responsibility,” said Dwivedi during his keynote.

The heart of the day was the startup pitch session, at which each team had 10 minutes to present their business ideas, followed by an intensive Q&A round. Ideas were evaluated based on innovation, feasibility, market potential, scalability, and social impact.

From sustainable travel solutions to tech-driven agriculture, education platforms, and eco-conscious products — the range of ideas presented demonstrated the vast potential emerging from the local ecosystem.

The Genesis QUIC Incubator at Quantum University, which has been instrumental in fostering these startups, was represented by Varun Tiwari and Soni Anish Annie, who shared their perspectives on startup acceleration, incubation resources, and the larger vision behind building an entrepreneurial campus culture.

The pitches were evaluated by a distinguished panel that included Ram Kumar, CEO of FIED (Foundation for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development), IIM Kashipur; Prof Ashish Kumar, a seasoned expert in innovation and strategic growth models, who offered valuable academic and practical insights to every presenting team.
The expert panel not only assessed ideas but also offered constructive, actionable feedback aimed at helping the startups move from idea to execution with greater clarity and confidence.

Select startups were shortlisted for advanced incubation under Genesis QUIC and partner institutions. These startups will now receive dedicated mentorship, resource access, and investor connect support.

The bootcamp enabled high-value networking among startups, government officials, academia, and ecosystem enablers, paving the way for future partnerships and joint ventures.

“This bootcamp helped us polish our pitch and identify market gaps we hadn’t considered. The mentorship we received today is a game-changer,” shared a student startup founder from Quantum University.

“Startup Bootcamp 2025 didn’t just showcase ideas — it showcased the future of Uttarakhand’s economy. The energy and commitment from these young entrepreneurs are truly commendable,” remarked Prof Ashish Kumar.

The visionaries and partners who made this event a success were Anupam Dwivedi, Ram Kumar, and Prof Ashish Kumar. Partner organisations included Startup Uttarakhand, IIM Kashipur, Genesis QUIC, AICTE, Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell, and Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC).
