DEHRADUN, 28 Jun: With the Meteorological Department forecasting extremely heavy rainfall in the hill districts and certain low-lying areas of the state over the next 24 hours, Chief Minister Dhami has urged the public to remain cautious and avoid unnecessary movement. He also issued an appeal to the residents to strictly follow the advisories issued by the administration and stay alert in view of the weather conditions.
Addressing concerns surrounding the upcoming Uttarakhand Combined State Civil/Upper Subordinate Service (Preliminary) Examination – 2025, scheduled for tomorrow (June 29), Dhami appealed to all candidates to plan ahead and reach their designated examination centres well on time, also accounting for possible weather-induced delays. He emphasised that both the smooth conduct of the examination and the safety of the candidates are top priorities for the government.
Dhami assured that the state administration is actively monitoring the situation and extending all necessary support to local authorities. He further instructed all District Magistrates to keep local administrative units on high alert, given the possibility of intense rainfall and adverse weather over the coming hours.
