DEHRADUN, 19 Jul: The fourth Confluential session for the academic year 2025 was hosted at St George’s College on Saturday. The event sought to offer students valuable insights from stories of struggle, perseverance and success.
The guest speakers were Mehar Walia Bindlish, a parenting coach, counsellor and early childhood educator and. Karan Bindlish, a performance coach, an aspiring applied sports psychologist and speaker.
Bindlish spoke about the exploration of emotions and feelings. ‘As a society we avoid feelings when we use judgmental words and focus on the future rather than on the present’, she said. She advised the students to remain curious and live in the present. She discouraged negative thoughts and said they must be reframed to put one’s best self forward.
Karan Bindlish spoke about dealing with extreme pressure before an event. An environment of pressure is created by external as well as internal factors. It is grit, focus and the correct response to pressure that determines the outcome.

The session commenced with a solemn prayer led by Arnav Singh Thakur, followed by the lighting of the lamp by Principal Brother Jeyaseelan and planters were presented as token of appreciation to the speakers. cv
The event concluded with the presentation of mementos to the guests as tokens of gratitude. The vote of thanks was delivered by Kushal Pratik, marking the end of an inspiring and thought-provoking session.
St George’s College continues its commitment to nurturing young minds through such initiatives; ensuring students are equipped with the wisdom and motivation to shape a bright future.
