Dehradun, July 21: A student from Graphic Era University has once again brought laurels to the nation and the university by achieving remarkable success at the international level. Vinayak Thakur, a student of Graphic Era and NCC Senior Under Officer, recently won two prestigious awards — Best Army Section Cadet and Best Overall Cadet of India — at the Indian Youth Exchange Programme held in the United Kingdom.

Vinayak Thakur is a seventh-semester BTech (CSE) student at Graphic Era Deemed University. During the 21-day international programme, he served as a Platoon Commander and participated in various military field exercises conducted in England, Scotland, and Wales. He demonstrated exceptional leadership and strategic skills while collaborating with cadets from countries like the United Kingdom, Australia, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, and Poland. Earlier, SUO Vinayak Thakur was also honoured with the DG NCC Commendation for his outstanding performance at the national level. Vinayak aspires to serve in the Indian Armed Forces as an officer in the future.

He credits his success to the constant encouragement and guidance of the Chairman of Graphic Era University, Dr Kamal Ghanshala. On this occasion, Dr Ghanshala congratulated Vinayak on his exceptional achievement and said that students like him portray the strength and discipline of the Indian youth. His leadership, dedication, and patriotism not only reflect Graphic Era’s academic and social vision but also serve as an inspiration for the nation’s future. Vinayak’s achievement is a moment of pride not just for the university but for the entire country.
