Dehradun, 4 Aug: In a renewed call for justice for Uttarakhand’s daughter Ankita Bhandari, the Uttarakhand Swabhiman Morcha has announced an emotional yet powerful statewide campaign.

At a press conference held today at the Uttaranchal Press Club, Morcha President Bobby Panwar, Vice President Tribhuwan Chauhan, General Secretary Mohit Dimri, and President of the Sainik Cell, Colonel Kailash Devrani addressed the media.

They stated, “This is not just about one daughter – it is about the pride and soul of the entire state of Uttarakhand.”

Titled “Ankita’s Rakhi”, this campaign will send rakhis to every village across the state. Each rakhi will be accompanied by a heartfelt letter – a plea in Ankita’s voice to the judiciary, the government, and society at large.

It was emphasised that, while the Kotdwar court has sentenced the three accused to life imprisonment, the people of Uttarakhand continue to ask critical questions: Who was the VIP shielded in this case? Who tampered with the evidence? Why are the real conspirators still at large?

The Uttarakhand Swabhiman Morcha believes that justice is not complete with mere punishment; unveiling every layer of the truth is equally vital. This rakhi campaign aims to bind the pain of a sister, the hope of a family, and the anger of society into a single thread.

Announcing the campaign, Morcha President Bobby Panwar said, “Those who toy with the dignity of Uttarakhand’s daughters must be punished. But when justice remains incomplete, society’s faith begins to erode. Through this rakhi, we are binding a sister’s agony, her questions, and her hopes – sending them across Uttarakhand as a symbol and a seed for a new awakening: ‘Ankita’s Rakhi’.”

Vice President Tribhuwan Chauhan added, “Three accused have been punished, but those shielded by VIP influence still appear above the law. We appeal to the people of Uttarakhand – if you take pride in your daughters, support ‘Ankita’s Rakhi’. This campaign will question those in power and compel the system to not just deliver verdicts but to reveal the whole truth.”

General Secretary Mohit Dimri reaffirmed the Morcha’s resolve to stand as a voice for the dignity of every daughter, the rights of every citizen, and against every injustice.

On this occasion, Morcha Councillor Ambika Chauhan tied a rakhi to Bobby Panwar, symbolically launching the campaign.

The press conference was attended by district presidents of three Morcha units – Rajendra Bhatt, Niranjan Chauhan, Shishpal Pokhriyal, Ramkumar Shankhdhar, Puran Singh Rawat, Chitrapal Sajwan, Anil Dobhal, and Sanjeev Sharma, among others.
