Dehradun, 1 Sep: Param Vir Chakra awardee and Kargil war hero Captain Yogendra Singh Yadav paid a courtesy call on the Governor Lt General Gurmit Singh (Retd) at the Raj Bhavan, here, today.
On this occasion, the Governor warmly welcomed Captain Yadav and lauded his unparalleled bravery, courage, and indomitable spirit. He said that during the Kargil war, Captain Yadav displayed extraordinary gallantry in the heroic battle of Tiger Hill, which brought immense pride to the nation. The saga of his valour would continue to inspire future generations with the spirit of patriotism, duty, and courage.
The Governor said that Param Vir Chakra awardees are living inspirations for all. Their life stories illuminate the path of nation-building and present the youth with ideals of dedication, sacrifice, and valour. He described brave sons of the soil like Captain Yogendra Singh Yadav as priceless treasures of the nation and said that their contribution would remain forever.
