Law College hold workshop on Selection Board entry

DEHRADUN, 13 Sept:  A workshop was organized on Saturday in the Law College facility of Uttaranchal University here on entry in various branches of Service Selection Board including AFCAT, CDS and Judge Advocate in the Indian Armed Forces. Group Captain Sandeep Mohan of the Indian Air Force was present on this occasion as a subject expert while the Vice Chancellor of the University Dharm Buddhi was present as the chief guest. Law students who have made Air Force, Navy or Army their target participated in this workshop with great enthusiasm. The workshop was conducted by the Training and Recruitment Division of the college.
Pro Vice-Chancellor of the university Rajesh Bahuguna said that while on one hand there are immense possibilities for law students today, there are special opportunities for law graduates in the Indian Armed Forces, especially in the Judge Advocate General branch. Students have to clear CLAT PG exam in their final year and after that they directly go for SSB. So far,  two students of the Law College have been selected in Indian Army and one student in Navy and are serving as Judge Advocate.
Group Captain Sandeep Mohan started his presentation with SSB orientation. Speaking in the session, he said that SSB comprehensively evaluates your leadership ability, personality and suitability for the armed forces. He said that success requires preparation, strategic thinking and personal guidance from expert mentors. He made the participants aware of the practical aspects of the SSB selection process. A group discussion was also organized on this occasion in which the experts made the participants aware of their strengths and weaknesses.
In the last phase of the workshop, the participants were given tasks related to SSB exam and the student who topped the task was also rewarded. The workshop ended with a exclusive question answer session.
On this occasion,  Radhey Shyam Jha, Purnima Tyagi, Anil Dixit, Kuljit Singh, Jitendra Singh, Laxmi Priya, Abhiranjan Dixit, Aishwarya Singh along with a large number of students were present.
